2010 Brings New Career Milestone For Keith Urban With First People’s Choice Award Win; Four-Time Gra

2009 brought four-time Grammy Award nominee Keith Urban his most successful concert tour to date, his second consecutive #1 Billboard Top 200 and Country CD Defying Gravity, two more #1 singles (bringing his total to eleven), his 5th Academy of Country Music Award, his 6th CMA Award and his first American Music Award.  Last night Urban marked yet another milestone in his career winning his first fan-voted People’s Choice Award for Favorite (All Genre) Male Artist.

“Our audiences, during the tour last year, gave us an intense and passionate energy, which was all that we could’ve asked for,” said Urban. So to begin the New Year with this offering from everyone is truly moving.”

Next stop for Urban, the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, where he’s nominated for Best Country Album (Defying Gravity), Best Male Country Vocal Performance (“Sweet Thing”), Best Country Collaboration with Brad Paisley for “Start A Band,” and Best Long Form Music Video for Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing from 2008’s “Love, Pain and the whole crazy World Tour”, concert tour.

The show airs January 31st at 8pm ET/PT on CBS.
